•Let's talk about Love•
Talk and reading on the subject of love
Talk and reading on the subject of love in the framework of the exhibition »What Would You Say It Is? News about the Apocalypse #1«
With Rainer Herrn (Magnus-Hirschfeld-Gesellschaft, Institut für Geschichte der Medizin at Charité Berlin) and the artists Florian Goeschke and Eske Schlüters. Texts spoken by Oliver Dresselhaus.
Questions about the social, cultural, historical and political condition of love and sexuality and about the meaning of (sexual) self-agency today and more generally about how we want to live and love, will be the subjects of this evening. Fragments from historical texts on the subject of love from science, enlightenment and popular culture will start the discussion among the participating artists, the scientist Rainer Herrn and our visitors. Among others are: Wilhelm Bölsche, Liebesleben in der Natur. Jena 1906; Magnus Hirschfeld, Naturgesetze der Liebe. Leipzig 1914; Hanns Heinz Ewers, Arabische Liebeskunst, 1929; Max Hodann, Geschlecht und Liebe. Berlin 1932; Hannelore Palkow, Liebeslexikon von A-Z. Leipzig 1933 and Hanns Martin Elstner, Liebe und Ehe, Dresden 1939.
