About things we can do

»Work on Work« will share what they have done in Korea and ask those in Berlin about their situation and thoughts: What is your agenda? What and why have you done such things? »Work on Work« is a collaborative effort on contemporary art, currently comprised of Hyejin Jang and Jaeyong Park. After working in art institutions for a few years, the two decided to become independent, and organized an experimental project where artists with seemingly different approaches towards artistic practice in public space were given the streets of Seoul close to connected exhibition venues, or project spaces. Titled »HIT and RUN« (2011), the project was to explore the notion of independence, (public) space, and the way of working together with artists as curators, or, organizers. During and after the project, Jang and Park did not only initiate »public interventions«, but also organized programs and exhibitions within and with institutions. For »Is there anything we can do for now?«, »Work on Work« will discuss the trajectory of their practice, anticipating thoughts and questions from Berliners.
